We were very impressed by this film, although we hope that viewers will realize that major coinfections are an equally important part of our problems with chronic Lyme disease. The most incredible part of this film, from our perspective, is the research of Alan MacDonald, M.D., who found Lyme Spirochetes in approximately 80% of Alzheimer brains which he was allowed to use from Harvard Medical School. So, are Alzheimer patients being misdiagnosed? Our question is whether it makes more sense that President Ronald Reagan, who rode horses almost every day (another tick haven), had Lyme disease which affected his brain? In addition, Dr. Alan MacDonald discusses how many people who are diagnosed with ALS, MS, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatique would actually test positively for the Lyme Spirochete? (When we say "test" here, we mean that Dr. MacDonald actually takes the time to use a microscope to visually determine the existence of B. Burgdorferi, which most of our usual Lyme tests don't bother to do.) We view this as a major indictment of the medical and pharmaceutical industry, since we are obviously being placed in different "cubby holes" in order to separate us and not allow appropriate treatment or funding for Lyme disease!
